Ciara Debuts Blue Hair and 7-Inch “Stripper Heels” for Dance Weekend – Footwear News

Ciara recently took her dancing skills to new heights, dropping her on ultra-tall 7-inch platforms on Instagram today to celebrate the weekend. And, as you might expect, the “stripping heels” are no match for Ciara’s dance moves.

To show off in style, the 36-year-old singer wore gray and black camouflage cargo pants and a short-sleeved black t-shirt with a lighting graphic, which was super shredded and distressed. Underneath the two-piece, the star wore a white monokini-like bodysuit.

In the video, the singer showed off eye-catching electric blue long hair, which she wore half up in space buns. For accessories, Ciara wore a collection of gold bracelets on each wrist, covering her eyes with pink mirrored lens goggles. She also wore a gold chain dangling around one ankle.

The singer captioned the carefree video, which was recorded in a dance studio, with the words “Ready to leap into the world like…”

Ciara’s ultra-high stilettos are from Pleaser, a brand known for making sky-high heels that have been worn by Lady Gaga and Helen Mirren, as well as a staple of nightlife performers around the world. The singer’s chosen style, the brand’s Adore-701 heels, featured a staggering 7-inch sheer stiletto. The $50 heels are complemented by a chunky, sheer platform sole and wide toe strap with a shiny sheer texture.

Often referred to as “stripper heels,” the shoe style recently enjoyed red carpet status when Kim Kardashian wore it with Marilyn Monroe’s dress at the Met Gala in May. Monroe herself was fond of Lucite platform heels, which have a long and interesting history and are considered a predecessor to today’s “stripper shoe”.
