Heartstopper stars dance and give the middle finger to homophobic protesters during the parade

The stars of Heart stroke were seen dancing and giving the middle finger to homophobic protesters during the Pride march in London.

The young actors of Netflix’s LGBT+ teen series, which has been a huge hit for the platform, were present at the Capital Pride celebrations on Saturday July 2.

2022 marks Pride’s 50th anniversary in London and the first time the event has taken place since the pandemic.

The group – made up of Joe Locke, Jenny Walser, Kit Connor, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Corinna Brown and Kizzy Edgell – wrapped themselves in Pride flags.

In a clip that has gone viral on social media, the parade was seen coming into contact with homophobic protesters.

As a Pride attendee attempted to remove an anti-LGBT+ sign from her, the show’s cast could be seen jumping and dancing to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”

Cast members, including lead actor Locke, also gave the protesters the middle finger.

The clip was shared by Sky News reporter Scott Beasley, who wrote: “The stars of Heart stroke Love it as anti-LGBT protesters are challenged by a young Pride supporter.

On Friday (July 1), Locke and Connor, along with their co-stars Yasmin Finney and William Gao, appeared on a Pride special from celebrity glasses box.

In it, the cast got emotional while watching the Channel 4 sitcom’s exit scene big boys.
