JoJo Siwa launches her DREAM tour without backup dancers

JoJo Siwa’s DREAM Tour kicked off Thursday night, but things looked a little different than fans were probably expecting. Siwa’s backup dancers did not appear on stage with her, as they are currently in quarantine. Dancer Ezra Sosa talked about it on Instagram.

JoJo Siwa begins tour without backup dancers

Siwa’s first show was in Spokane, Washington on Thursday night. Ezra Sosa, who is a professional dancer on Dancing with the stars, posted a photo of Siwa performing alone on stage. He wrote: “Due to great caution, all backup dancers are quarantined for a few days.”

“Even though JoJo won’t have her dancers by her side tonight,” Sosa continued, “she’s still going to put on the best show for you! All the dancers zoomed in on her technical run last night and she knocked the house down. ALL ALONE !

The dancers also video chatted during the concert itself. Fellow backup dancer CJ Jensen shared a clip from his computer during the show. A square featured Siwa on stage, while dancers performed with her in their own separate rooms.


Siwa integrates ‘DWTS’ into his tour

Siwa responded to Sosa’s Instagram post, writing, “I love you.” She added a sad face, a crying face and a heart.

The star’s new tour has some ties to her time on Dancing with the stars. (Siwa came in second place on Season 30 last year.) Not only is Sosa a backup dancer on the show, but Siwa’s partner Jenna Johnson choreographed a jive routine for Siwa and Sosa. .

It looks like fans will have to wait a little longer to see the two of them perform the routine together on stage. the next show is Saturday in Boise, Idaho. It is not yet known if the reserve dancers will still be in quarantine during this show.
