So you think you can dance is finally back after a three-year hiatus from the airwaves. This is much-loved news for fans who have missed seeing some of America’s most talented dancers take to the stage to perform various dance styles including contemporary dance, hip-hop, ballroom and more.

Fans who want to hear Mary Murphy’s infamous “woo” or Nigel Lythgoe’s blunt critique of contestants are going to be slightly disappointed to hear that none have returned for the new season. In fact, the entire Season 17 panel of judges is new, with only one of them having deep ties to the show. Fortunately, these recently added members of the So you think you can dance The family is led by longtime host Cat Deeley.

When is the next episode of season 17 of So You Think You Can Dance?

The final episode of So You Think You Dance airs Wednesday, August 3 at 9 PM ET/PT and it’s a doozy, because the episode title is “The Final Cut.” Here is the synopsis:

“The remaining contestants took to the stage performing two unique numbers before heading to the final, first dancing together in pairs, then paired with one of the show’s beloved All-Stars: Kiki Nyemchek, Audrey Case or Robert Green..”

So You Think You Can Dance Season 17 Judges

As already mentioned, So you think you can dance season 17 has a whole new panel of judges. Having served as both contestant and judge on the show, it seems only fitting that Stephen Laurel Boss, aka tWitch, is anchoring the new panel.

tWitch first graced TV screens when it finished second on So you think you can dance season 4. Since then, he has starred in a few of the Intensify movies and 2007 hair sprayhas become a staple on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and has featured his dance moves on numerous other projects.

Joining tWitch on the panel is child star JoJo Siwa. Siwa has become a true artist since her debut on Lifetime’s dance moms. The dancer-turned-actress and pop star is the only Gen Z voice on the panel.

Although Matthew Morrison (Joy, american horror story) was originally on tap as the show’s judge, as noted in People (opens in a new tab)the show producers chose to part ways with him.

By the way, for fans wondering why Nigel Lythgoe isn’t returning to the on-screen series, he simply addressed his absence by saying he wasn’t asked to return.

So you think you can dance season 17 airs live in the US on Fox. Those without traditional cable/satellite TV can stream episodes live on platforms such as FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV.

Can’t see the episodes live when they premiere? No problem. New episodes will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.

As of now, there is no official word on which platform will carry So you think you can dance season 17 in the UK. However, we will provide an update once we know more.
